Ankerside promises ‘dino-mite’ fun at kids’ club
Pint-sized palaeontologists are invited for a Jurassic lark around Ankerside Shopping Centre, where there will be some exciting dinosaur guests at the kids’ club to have mammoth amounts of fun with.
The centre’s first Kids’ Zone event of the year – ‘Diggin’ Dinos’ – on Saturday 15 February is set to be a ‘roar-some’ activity kicking off the half-term holiday from 11am until 4pm at the octagon seating area for little explorers and their families
The shopping centre’s mascots Tammy and River will be taking event-goers on a free and action-packed ride to prehistoric times, complete with colossal creatures, opportunities to have fun with fossils and more.
Mark Burbridge, centre manager at Ankerside, says visitors will be able to roll up their sleeves, grab some tools and pop on a digging hat to search for ancient bones. “Tamworth is in for an unforgettable adventure on Saturday, with Ankerside’s Tammy and River introducing people to life-like dinosaurs that they can engage and interact with.
“We’re sure we’ll see lots of mesmerised faces and while they are very friendly, we’ll of course make sure the dinos are fed and watered ahead of entertaining the crowds,” Mark said.
“For those who haven’t been to our Kids’ Zone events before, this will be a great one to attend, as it’s not every day you get to meet such fascinating animals from the past,” he added. “There’s also a learning element which will be interesting for adults too, so expect a fun day for all!”
