PJ Masks character to get Ankerside’s Christmas fun started
This weekend, Ankerside will be hosting some very special guests – TV sensation Catboy from PJ Masks – along with the shopping centre’s mascots Tammy and River – who will be helping shoppers get into the festive spirit for the launch of the grotto and Christmas lights switch on.
On Sunday 24 November, visitors to the Tamworth shopping centre are in for a real treat as Catboy will be making an appearance at intervals once an hour between 1.30pm and 4.30pm before he heads off to the highly anticipated festive lights switch on at 6pm in the town centre.
Tammy and River will also be meeting and greeting visitors on the mall. And, the fun doesn’t stop there, as Santa’s grotto will also be opening on the mall by Poundland! Children and their families will able to visit him on Sunday and then every day from 20 December until Christmas Eve between 11am and 4pm. The entry fee is £3.50 per child, which includes a gift.
Mark Burbridge, centre manager at Ankerside, said: “We have been looking forward to this weekend for quite some time now, as we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that everyone in Tamworth has a wonderful time celebrating the start of all the Christmas festivities.
“I’m sure our youngest visitors will be very excited to have the chance to meet Catboy and our mascots Tammy and River,” said Mark. “There will be something for everyone to enjoy and this time of year really does bring people from all parts of the community together, so it’s set to be another brilliant day out.”
