Youngsters got stuck in this half term, moulding ye olde style pinch pots from clay as part of Tamworth’s Castle Medieval Mayhem week. Taking place in Castle Square, the children enjoyed the free crafting sessions hosted by Pixie from ‘Pixies Pottery,’ which took place over 28th and 29th May. There were some fantastic designs created by the children who embossed the pots with prints from pinecones, leaves, flowers and bark. There were many delighted smiles from both children and parents alike during the workshop and we are happy to report, not too many mucky clothes! Each child was allowed to take home their creation, allowing the pot to cure naturally and permanently set their wonderful designs. We look forward to continuing working with the castle to offer these brilliant events in the centre.
